Our club is a registered participant in two divisions of the Photographic Society of America Interclub Competition. We are in the “Projected Image Division” (PID) (the category is “General”, and includes using Photoshop enhancements) and also in the “Travel Division” (PTD). The photographic work must be original and owned by the submitting member. Commercial clip art is not allowed.

Each year there are three rounds of competitions as follows: DATES for 2020-2021

PROJECTED IMAGE DIVISION

All active members are eligible to submit one photograph in each category per round. Members will be notified of our internal deadlines and asked to submit their images through the COMPETITIONS tab on the website. Click SUBMIT IMAGES TO A COMPETITION; Click SELECT by PSA COMPETITION – OPEN and/or PSA COMPETITION – TRAVEL.  Next click UPLOAD IMAGES INTO THE COMPETITION. After you have selected your images, click SAVE IMAGES & PROCEED TO EDIT PAGE. Make any edits in titles, etc. 

The images must be in jpeg format and must NOT EXCEED the following Maximum size:
Horizontal images will be no more than 1400 pixels wide or 1050 pixels tall.
Vertical images will be no more than 1050 pixels tall. In all cases the vertical side may
     not 
exceed1050 pixels.

There are no file size restrictions. For best results use sRGB color space.

Title the imagemax of 25 SPACES. Short titles are preferred. Member’s name should not appear in the title. Entries are tracked and ID’d by member’s email. Replace the file name with the title of the image, nothing else.

A member may not use a photo that was previously submitted and chosen as a top six image in past rounds. However, if a member has a good image that for some reason did not make the top six, it may be resubmitted.

All club images will be judged by members. The top six images chosen in each division will be entered in the PSA competition round. PSA results will be announced as soon as received.

PERMISSION FOR PSA TO USE IMAGES                                    

If you wish to allow the Photographic Society of America (PSA) to display any of your images which have been entered in an Interclub competition, you will need to sign/agree to the official permission form, available under here. Please sign, scan and email to Larry Bresko or Karen Kindness.  Please note that this form is not a requirement with respect to having your images used in the Interclub Competitions; it is only required if you are willing to have such images displayed on the PSA's web site.
